Last week I was chiming in on a thread on the 2nd Air Division Heritage League FB Group. It had a photo of some research books, one of which was by noted author, the late Allan Blue, entitled The B-24 Liberator. Several years prior I had posted about a phone conversation with Allan during which he mentioned rather pointedly, 'you DO have my book, don't you?' I sheepishly admitted that I did not have the book in my library. I felt like I was back in high school being scolded for not having my report ready. My shame has finally been rectified..

It's not very often that a filmmaker gets an opportunity to film portions of his own father's early life. I was given that chance recently just a few weeks ago. My producers and I had been talking for several years about filming two re-enactment scenes for CREW 713, which we have now done!
