Paths of Hate — I Love it!

As a full time employee of the Dallas Film Society, I've been turned on to an animated submission called "Paths of Hate" which features a WWII dogfight that is exactly the style I've been dreaming of for my CREW 713 documentary. Check it out and I think you'll agree!

It's been over a month since I've written my last blog. A lot has happened over this time and much of it deals directly with my film. First of all, to be perfectly honest, not a lot happened to the film in 2010. There were several funding pitches and proposals that were submitted and rejected […]

You know how you're looking at the Mona Lisa and something just ain't right? That cryptic smile. What was she really thinking? We'll never know. And so it seems we'll never know the real answer to Sergeant Picard's Tie. Allow me to explain. Several years ago, While looking at the crew photo of the men […]

I found out today about the passing of Mr. Milton Goodridge. Milton was one of the eight veterans we interviewed in Minneapolis in 2008. He was a wonderful and gentle man and he will be missed. I would like to offer my condolences to his wife Betty and the Goodridge family. Mr. Goodridge had a […]

As I mentioned in my last blog, I had finally located the family of Barney Edwards-Tail Gunner for O'Sullivan's CREW 713. I left a message for his sister Donna and she called me back this past Saturday the 18th. We had a real nice conversation. She was surprised to say the least, but had already […]

As most of you know, I have been on this journey for over 2 years now. During this time I have made many new friends and associations whose help has been invaluable to my research for the making of "CREW 713". One of the best sources of information about the crew and their bomb group […]

Last night, we held our draft for our fantasy football league. As you might know, I've been in a league with the same group of knuckleheads for about 11 years now. It's a real blast. For those of you who have never played, a team will draft from a pool of NFL players. All offensive […]

In a previous blog, I had mentioned that I wanted "CREW 713" to stand out from the slew of WWII documentaries that have been produced. One of the ways in which I want the film to stand apart is with some animation pieces that I want to use in the film. These pieces would be […]
